Holy Spirit Hires Former Bryant High Standout As Next Basketball Coach
Former Bryant High School standout Jared Sherfield has been hired as Holy Spirit's new men's varsity basketball coach.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Holy Spirit Catholic School on Wednesday announced that Tuscaloosa native and former Bryant High School standout Jared Sherfield has been hired as the school's new men's varsity basketball coach.

Sherfield comes to Holy Spirit with experience as "a high-level student athlete and international professional basketball player."

Sherfield, who played college basketball at Lander University and Tennessee Tech University, most recently played for the Bristol Flyers in the United Kingdom, where he was credited with breaking several franchise records.
He left the team in March after joining the squad last August, following his time playing in Slovakia.

Sherfield logged 14 league appearances with Bristol and averaged 12 points per game.
During his time at Bryant High, Sherfield was an AHSAA Class 6A state champion and was the state championship MVP in 2017.
