Humane Society's Canine Classic 5K Set For Sept. 9

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Humane Society of West Alabama on Thursday announced that the 20th annual Canine Classic 5K road race is set for Saturday, Sept. 9.

The event will be held in Cardinal Park near the Tuscaloosa National Airport, with the proceeds going to benefit the Humane Society.

The 5K road race is set to begin at 8 a.m. and is part of the Tuscaloosa Track Club Grand Prix of West Alabama.

The Humane Society says registration will begin at 7 a.m. and the cost is $30 day of the race.

As part of registration, the first 150 registrants will receive a T-shirt and swag bag, in addition to being entered into a drawing for door prizes.
