Longtime incumbent Republican Magaria Bobo has secured a fourth term as Tuscaloosa County circuit clerk

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Longtime incumbent Republican Magaria Bobo has secured a fourth term as Tuscaloosa County circuit clerk after defeating Democrat and former Tuscaloosa city councilor Sonya McKinstry.

According to unofficial results with 94% of precincts reporting, Bobo grabbed 45,260 votes or 61%, compared to McKinstry's 29,009 votes or 39%.

Bobo won the GOP primary without a runoff earlier this year by securing 59% of the vote in a three-person race.

She was first elected in 2006 and previously served as a supervisor of the Circuit Court’s civil division.
