"I built this place for everyone, and everyone is welcome here," French said. "But I'm paying real close attention to my good blue-collar workers and my good white collar workers — the folks that are here 365 days a year, the locals. This is the place that is geared towards them."

French has extensively renovated the interior and exterior of the longtime location, which previously served as a restaurant and gas station in its past incarnations.

Jake's Juke Joint aims to provide an affordable menu of burgers, beer and barbecue, along with other offerings tinged with local flair. These include the Wildcat burger, the Ram Slam burger and the Miller G — a nod to when the location was known as Miller's Grocery.

Jake's Juke Joint will also have a catering menu available at a later date.

The new restaurant is located at 5675 U.S. Highway 43 in Northport.
