TUSCALOOSA, AL — The latest round of spring severe weather is moving into Alabama, which is expected to bring high winds and the threat of tornadoes Wednesday evening.

10:30 p.m.

  • The Tornado Warning for Tuscaloosa County has been allowed to expire.
  • The National Weather Service has given the all-clear for the following counties: Fayette, Greene, Lamar, Pickens and Sumter.

New storm reports (10:30 p.m.)

  • The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office reports debris in the roadway on Alabama Highway 69 South.

10 p.m.

  • Tuscaloosa County has been placed under a Tornado Warning until 10:45 p.m., which includes the City of Tuscaloosa and northeastern Tuscaloosa County.
  • New Tornado Warning until 10:30 p.m. for southeastern Tuscaloosa County and parts of Bibb County. This includes the cities of Lake View and Vance.
  • Tuscaloosa County is now under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 10:45 p.m.
  • Tornado Warning for Fayette and Walker counties until 10:30 p.m., with the storm located near Berry, moving northeast.
  • Tornado Watch for 26 counties in Alabama, including: Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Jefferson, Marion, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa and Walker until 1 a.m. Thursday.
  • Wind Advisory for Tuscaloosa County until 1 a.m. Thursday.

  • Tuscaloosa County EMA reports trees and power lines down in the area of Highway 140 and Holman Church Road.

Active watches/warnings:

  • Tornado Warning for southern Sumter until 9:15 p.m., with the storm moving northeast toward Cuba and York.
  • Tornado Warning issued for northern Pickens County until 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the storm located southwest of Pickensville, moving northeast, according to the National Weather Service.
  • Tornado Warning has also been issued for Greene, northern Sumter and southern Pickens counties until 9 p.m. This storm is located near Geiger, moving northeast toward Panola.
  • Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Pickens, Sumter and Greene counties until 9:15 p.m.
  • Tornado Watch issued for 26 counties in Alabama, including: Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Jefferson, Marion, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa and Walker until 1 a.m. Thursday.
  • Wind Advisory for Tuscaloosa County until 1 a.m. Thursday.

  • Tornado Warning issued for northern Pickens County until 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the storm located southwest of Pickensville, moving northeast, according to the National Weather Service.
  • A second Tornado Warning has also been issued for northern Sumter and southern Pickens Counties until 9 p.m. This storm is located near Geiger, moving northeast toward Panola.
  • Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Pickens, Sumter and Greene counties until 9:15

  • Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Marion, Lamar and northwest Fayette until 8:30 p.m. The NWS says winds up to 60 mph are possible with this storm.
  • Tornado Watch issued for 26 counties in Alabama, including: Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Jefferson, Marion, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa and Walker.
  • Wind Advisory for Tuscaloosa County until 1 a.m. Thursday.
