Man Charged After Woman Killed In Shooting On Greensboro Avenue
A man has been charged with murder and the victim identified after a fatal shooting on Greensboro Avenue Saturday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A man has been charged with murder and the victim identified after a fatal shooting on Greensboro Avenue Saturday.

As Patch previously reported, Tuscaloosa Police responded at approximately 5 a.m. to the 3400 block of Greensboro Avenue on an initial call of a shooting at a storage unit business.

Officers arrived on scene and found a woman — later identified as 28-year-old Autumn Monea Mack — dead of a gunshot wound.
Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said it was found that a large group of people had been holding a get together or gathering at one of the storage units.

"During this gathering there was an altercation between the victim and suspect, during which the victim was shot and killed," he said. "The altercation stemmed from a verbal argument."
Kennedy said Shaquan Lavar Knight, 28, was identified as a suspect after interviewing multiple witnesses, processing the scene for physical evidence and executing multiple search warrants/
Knight was located by the US Marshalls Task Force Saturday evening and has been booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail with no bond.
