Kennedy said police arrived on scene and found 62-year-old Joseph Earl Miller in his own home dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

The violent Crimes Unit interviewed family members and a suspect was developed as 41-year-old Andrew Wayne Hollie, who had been in a relationship with the victim’s daughter and had been engaged in threatening and abusive behavior with both of them during the last week.

Kennedy said Hollie was unable to be located by law enforcement and investigators at the time but after processing the scene for physical evidence, interviewing multiple witnesses, and executing multiple search warrants, probable cause was developed and a warrant for capital murder was obtained on Hollie.

Kennedy then said Hollie was located by the US Marshals Task Force early Monday and booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail with no bond.
