Captain Marty Sellers told local media early Sunday morning that Tuscaloosa Police officers and homicide investigators were on the scene of a shooting in the 1800 block of Links Boulevard.

He said a man died as a result of the shooting and Sellers did not provide any additional information such as the man's identity.
Sellers did, however, say investigators believe the shooting was in self-defense and that no arrests have been made at this time.

Sellers then said the shooting remains under investigation.
