Man Killed, Suspect Sought In Shooting At Tuscaloosa Apartment Complex
Investigators are on the scene of a shooting at a Tuscaloosa apartment complex on Wednesday that left one person dead.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A man is dead following a shooting Wednesday at a Tuscaloosa apartment complex.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department confirmed to Tuscaloosa Patch that TPD officers responded at 11:02 a.m. to a shooting call at Forrester Gardens on James I. Harrison Jr. Parkway.

TPD officers found that a man had been shot, before having him transported to DCH Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Captain Marty Sellers then informed local media roughly an hour after the shooting that the victim had died from his injuries.

In another update Wednesday afternoon, VCU Commander Captain Jack Kennedy said the victim was a 37-year-old man but did not provide his identity at this point in the investigation.
Kennedy said the investigation is active and ongoing, before encouraging witnesses to come forward and saying persons of interest are being sought.
He then said anyone who witnessed the shooting or who has any information is encouraged to contact the Tuscaloosa Police Department at (205) 349-2121 or the Violent Crimes Unit at (205) 464-8690.
