TUSCALOOSA, AL β€” A memorial bike ride and fundraiser is set for March 30, with the proceeds going toward funeral expenses for a Cottondale man who was found dead earlier this week after being reported missing by his family.

As Patch previously reported, Steven Cierocke, 63, was reported missing in late February and an extensive search effort eventually recovered his body in the area of Hurricane Creek.

March 30 was chosen for the date of the event because it would have been Cierocke's 64th birthday.
