Murder Investigation Underway In Holt, Suspect In Custody

HOLT, AL — Investigators are on the scene of a murder in Holt after a female victim's body was found Tuesday morning.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told local media just before 6 a.m. that the female victim was found deceased in the 1700 block of 47th Avenue NE and a suspect has been taken into custody.

No other details have been provided as of the publication of this story and Kennedy said the investigation is ongoing.
