No Injuries In Thursday Afternoon Fire At Creekwood Village

Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue (TFR) crews responded Thursday afternoon to a fire at Creekwood Village in Tuscaloosa's West End.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue (TFR) crews responded Thursday afternoon to a fire at Creekwood Village in Tuscaloosa's West End.

TFR Public Information Officer Holly Whigham told Patch that firefighters were on the scene after receiving the initial call around 1:45 p.m. and immediately noticed smoke coming from an apartment building.

Whigham said the fire was quickly contained and under control by 2 p.m. It is unclear at this time how many units were impacted.

She said there were no reports of injuries and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
