Northport Police Identify Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Highway 43
Northport Police have identified a 41-year-old man who was killed Sunday afternoon in a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV.

NORTHPORT, AL — Northport Police have identified a 41-year-old man who was killed Sunday afternoon in a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV on U.S. Highway 43.

Northport Police Department Assistant Chief Keith Carpenter told local media Monday morning that the crash happened about 1:50 p.m. in the 5600 block of Highway 43 in the northbound lanes, near the intersection with Highway 171.

He said the wreck involved a Yamaha motorcycle and a GMC Yukon.
The motorcycle’s driver, Jacob Edward Parris of Northport, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Carpenter said no other injuries were reported.
NPD's Traffic Reconstruction Unit is investigating the cause of the crash and no criminal charges are pending.
