NORTHPORT, AL — A beloved family-owned cajun eatery and ice cream shop in Northport has closed its doors for good.

Ingram Farms, located at the intersection of Highway 43 and Flatwoods Road, became a well-known fixture in the local culinary scene over the years thanks to its offerings like crawfish, shrimp and gumbo, in addition to its popular selection of hand-scooped Blue Bell Ice Cream.

The business made the official announcement on its Facebook page last week.

"What started out as selling tomatoes off the back of a pickup truck to where we are now has been an amazing journey and experience," Ingram Farms posted. "After 13 years, we have decided to close Ingram Farms and embark on a new chapter. We are deeply thankful for everyone's support throughout the years and look forward to what the future holds."
