Officials Warn Of Two Rounds Of Potentially Severe Storms For West Alabama Thursday

Officials are cautioning the public about two rounds of potentially severe storms expected to impact West Alabama on Thursday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is cautioning the public about two rounds of potentially severe storms expected to impact West Alabama on Thursday.

Tuscaloosa County EMA says the first round may occur during the mid-morning as a weakening line of storms moves in from the northwest. A second round could also develop in the afternoon and continue into the early evening.

Officials said the main threats from both rounds include damaging winds up to 60 mph and large hail, potentially up to quarter-sized.
