One Killed In Friday Shooting On East Skyland Boulevard

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) is investigating a Friday evening shooting that left one person dead.

Captain Marty Sellers told local media that the Tuscaloosa Police Department and VCU investigators responded to the initial call in the 4500 block of East Skyland Boulevard.

While he declined to provide further details, Sellers said one male victim was dead as a result of the shooting.

No word has been given on any potential suspects or the motive behind the shooting.
