One Person Injured Wednesday In Shooting At Northport Apartments
The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a Wednesday afternoon shooting in Northport that injured one person.

NORTHPORT, AL β The Northport Police Department says one person suffered injuries not believed to be life-threatening in a Wednesday afternoon shooting at an apartment complex.

Assistant Chief Keith Carpenter told Patch that NPD responded around 1 p.m. to the shooting call in the 3600 block of 17th Street at Wright Apartments.

Carpenter said once on scene officers found one person had been shot in the leg.
No arrests or suspects have been announced at this time.

The shooting investigation has now been handed over to the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit.
This marks Tuscaloosa County's third shooting since Saturday morning.
