Pizza Hut Working To Open At Northridge Center In Tuscaloosa

The longtime pizza franchise is currently working on renovations for a second location in Tuscaloosa County.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A little more than a year after the only Pizza Hut north of the Warrior River closed, a new McFarland Boulevard location appears to be quietly working toward an opening.

In Northridge Center off McFarland Boulevard, signage and renovation work indicates the new Pizza Hut will be next door to Tokyo Express, which also shares the outlet with Jimmy John's.

The timetable for opening is unclear, but the sign at the business says Pizza Hut is currently hiring for the location, which is a small, express-style restaurant that will not feature much, if any, indoor seating.

Pizza Hut's last "sit-down" location on McFarland Boulevard in Northport closed in late 2020, leaving the longtime Pizza Hut to-go location in south Tuscaloosa as the only other franchise in the area.
