Rama Jama's To Open Second Location At The Venue In March

NORTHPORT, AL — An iconic Tuscaloosa culinary staple is set to open its second Tuscaloosa County location near Northport.

The Venue announced on Tuesday that Rama Jama's, which has its famous location on the University of Alabama campus, will open its new restaurant at the concept at 6052 Watermelon Road.

Founded by Bryan and Lee Finison, The Venue offers several different on-site restaurant options in a kind of open-air food court layout, with Rama Jama's set to become the newest tenant sometime in mid-March.

Rama Jama's first opened in the shadow of Bryant-Denny Stadium in 1996 and became one of the most popular fixtures on the UA campus, offering burgers, hotdogs and a popular breakfast menu.

In 2017, owner Gary Lewis sold the restaurant to Michael Hebron, who operates it to this day.

The Venue says the new Rama Jama's menu will be limited, but still offer favorites from the original location's menu.
