TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Reform woman is dead following a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Pickens County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says the fatal crash occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. when the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Edith M. Gault, 78, left the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

ALEA reported that Gault was pronounced dead at the scene on Ollie Bonner Road, approximately five miles north of Reform.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
