Registration Opens For PARA's Fall Youth Sports Programs; Soccer Registration Extended

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority (PARA) has opened registration for its upcoming fall youth sports programs.

For its fall season, PARA will once again offer tee ball, baseball and modified pitch softball for various age groups.

Separately, PARA announced on Monday it has extended early bird soccer registration until Wednesday, July 24, due to the global internet interruption last Friday. Those still having issues registering online are asked to call any PARA activity center to register over the phone.

Tee ball registration is priced at $100 per player ages 3-4, while four age groups for baseball cost $150 per child. Baseball divisions include (6U) 5-6 years old; (8U) 7-8 years old; (10U) 9-10 years old; and (12U) 11-12 years old.

The deadline to register for baseball is Saturday, July 27.

Softball registration is $90 per player for the following age groups: (8U) 7-8 years old; (10U) 9-10 years old; and (13U) 11-13 years old. The registration deadline is July 31.

Coaches are also needed for this fall season, with meetings set for Aug. 1 at the Belk Activity Center. The meeting for prospective baseball coaches will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the softball meeting at 7 p.m.
