David Roberts Returns To DCH As Vice President Of Construction And Engineering

TUSCALOOSA, AL — DCH Health System on Monday announced that David Roberts has been hired as the health care provider's vice president of construction/engineering.

DCH says Roberts returns to the hospital system from The University of Alabama, where he was a contract manager for all Alabama Department of Mental Health facilities in Tuscaloosa.

In this role, Roberts managed all construction, renovation and capital improvements for Bryce Hospital, the Harper Center and the Taylor Hardin Secure Medical Facility.

Roberts previously served DCH for more than 20 years as the corporate director of construction/engineering, where he supervised several departments and managed projects including the construction of the Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center.

“I am extremely pleased to have David return to DCH in this role," DCH Health System Administrator and Senior Vice President Luke Standeffer said. “His extensive experience and expertise in health care and construction will be invaluable as we continue to expand and improve the services we provide for the community.”

Roberts holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from The University of Alabama.

His first day on the job will be April 15.
