Shelton State Cosmetology To Host Back-To-School Cuts & Styles Event Next Month

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Shelton State Community College (SSCC) Cosmetology is once again inviting the community to participate in its special Back-to-School Cuts & Styles event, set for July 30 and 31, on the SSCC Martin Campus.

SSCC Cosmetology says it will offer haircuts, styles, simple braids, crocheting, and dread retwists.

The cosmetology salon will be open each day from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m., with appointments requested.

The salon is also open in the summer semester, Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. for multiple services, including haircuts and manicures.

Appointments can be made, but walk-in customers are also welcome.

SSCC says revenue generated by cosmetology services supports the functions of the salon and allows students to attend classes from product educators and participate in continuing education opportunities before entering the industry.
