Shelton State To Host Babysitting Training Camp In Bibb County
This camp will be held in addition to its previously announced babysitting training camp on the Martin Campus in July.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Shelton State Community College (SSCC) Workforce Development will offer a week-long training camp at Bibb Medical Center (BMC) July 21-25 for those interested in working in the childcare sector.

SSCC said this camp will be held in addition to its previously announced babysitting training camp on the Martin Campus, which is scheduled for July 14-18.

“Becoming a Babysitter Camp” in Bibb County will be held at the BMC Wellness Center Meeting Room, with the cost set at $150. This fee will cover CPR certification, a textbook, craft kits and a goodie bag.
Participants will be asked to attend training from 9 a.m. until noon, Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. for Friday’s CPR certification.

SSCC says participants will finish their emergency and engagement training with skills, safety knowledge, and hands-on experiences to become a confident, trustworthy babysitter.
The camp in Bibb County is limited to 14 attendees and interested participants are encouraged to register soon.
