Shelton State To Host Free I CARE Summer Camp

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Shelton State Community College (SSCC) Workforce Development announced on Thursday that it will offer a free I CARE summer camp at the Martin Campus.

Shelton State says the camp is available to high school students and young adults between the ages of 15 and 18 who are interested in the healthcare profession.

The four-day camp will be held from June 23 to June 26 and will begin daily at 8 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.

  • Basic clinical skills training such as blood drawing techniques and taking vital signs.
  • Virtual Reality healthcare technology in patient care
  • 3D Anatomy Anatomage table for studying human systems
  • Understanding how technology is transforming modern medicine
  • Opportunity to earn First Aid and CPR certification
