Shelton State Seeking Applicants For Honda PACT Program
SSCC announced Monday it is seeking candidates for its inaugural Honda Professional Automotive Career Training (PACT) cohort of students.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Shelton State Community College announced Monday it is seeking candidates for its inaugural Honda Professional Automotive Career Training (PACT) cohort of students.

Honda PACT will offer automotive technician training that will enable students to become Honda & Acura certified technicians.

Shelton State says graduates earning this certification will be qualified to work at Honda and Acura dealerships.
Students will receive specialized training on Honda and Acura automobiles, in addition to training with special Honda and Acura tools and equipment, on-the-job experience at Honda and Acura dealerships, and industry standard certifications.

Honda PACT students will also learn electrical fundamentals, engines, steering and suspension, and more — in addition to being exposed to the standards, operations, and procedures used at Honda & Acura dealerships.
Honda PACT students accepted into the program will be required to complete a paid internship at a Honda or Acura dealership within their surrounding area.
Honda PACT graduates have classroom knowledge, hands-on training, work experience in a Honda or Acura dealership, and highly respected credentials.
“We are very excited about the possibilities this program will provide our students,” SSCC Automotive Service Instructor Mike Hobson. “We look forward to helping train the next generation of technicians while also offering them real-world experience in established shops and dealerships.”
