TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson was named the Southeastern Conference’s Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after guiding the Crimson Tide to a 27-24 road win over Missouri.

The award marks Simpson’s second weekly honor in three weeks and the sixth SEC weekly award for Alabama this season.

Simpson completed 23 of 31 passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns, connecting with nine different receivers.
The redshirt junior also added 10 rushes, highlighted by a team-long 20-yard run, as Alabama notched its third straight victory over a top-25 opponent.

The Crimson Tide (5-1, 3-0 SEC) will return to action Saturday at Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium when the Tennessee Volunteers pay a visit for the Third Saturday in October.
