“This year’s inductees each have long and storied histories with the College,” said Cara Crosslin, Shelton State’s Athletics Director. “It is very exciting for us to welcome them home in a way that celebrates not only their contributions to the College but also brings together so many people who wish them well and are delighted to see them accept this honor.”
Mohun, who coached the Shelton State men's basketball for nearly two decades, will also be honored after leading the Buccaneers to a 421-118 (.781) record
“It is such an honor to be selected for the Shelton State Athletics Hall of Fame,” Mohun said. “Coaching basketball isn’t a job for me; it is a calling. Making a difference in young people’s lives is the best part, and we had a great time doing that at Shelton. This is going to be a special time and I’m looking forward to being back on campus.”
Mohun’s wife Susan will also be inducted and expressed her excitement.
“Shelton was always more than just the place that Barry and I worked, it was a family," she said. "We are so excited to be a part of this year’s class and hope to see many old friends and share lots of great memories.”
The 2025 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is set for Saturday, June 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the Martin Campus Atrium.
Tickets for the ceremony are priced at $75 each or $500 for a table and can be purchased by clicking here.
