Stillman also clinched the inaugural HBCUAC softball title, as the league sponsored the sport for the first time this season.

“I'm super proud of our team being regular season champs," Stillman head coach Joel Penfield said."That was our first goal. We just play one game at a time and don't look ahead. We’ve gotten better every week, and this was our first goal — to be regular season champs. We're excited for the conference tournament."

The Tigers’ dominant performance at Dillard capped a strong season that included notable individual performances from Alabaster native Lauren Haskins, who was hot at the plate, and pitcher Jasmine Wade — a native of Harvest who earned a win and a save.

Stillman will return to action against Rust College for a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday at 2 p.m., before traveling to the United States Sports Academy and finishing the week with an HBCUAC series against Oakwood University on April 5-6.
