Stillman College senior guard Jamariah Turner on Monday was named the HBCU Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Stillman College senior guard Jamariah Turner on Monday was named the HBCU Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

This marks the third time in as many weeks that the Stillman College women's basketball team has had a player receive the honor.

The Huntsville native received the award after scoring 21 points in her last two games, shooting 61.5% with two assists against Oakwood. She then shot 53.8% from the floor while adding an assist against Arkansas Baptist.
Turner is second on the team in scoring, averaging of 11.7 points per game, while shooting 43.7% from the floor and 30.8% from three.

Turner also averages 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest.
Stillman College will return to action Thursday in Birthright Auditorium as the Lady Tigers will face Voorhees University in HBCUAC action.
Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
