Stillman's Pearson Named HBCUAC Offensive Player of the Week

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Stillman College women's basketball standout forward Farrah Pearson has been named the HBCU Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week following a dominant weekend.

Pearson was a key player on the inside for the Lady Tigers. The senior from Huntsville shot 70.6% (12-for-17) from the floor and scored 26 points in a 68-65 win over Wilberforce in Tuscaloosa on Saturday.

Pearson also contributed five rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in the win.

For the season, Pearson is averaging 54.5% from the floor, averaging 8.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game.

Stillman College will return to action Tuesday on the road against Talladega College, which is set for a 5 p.m. start.
