Strange Brew Coffeehouse Opens First Northport Location

Strange Brew Coffeehouse's first Northport location officially opened Tuesday morning.

NORTHPORT, AL — Northport's newest coffeehouse officially opened on Tuesday.

Strange Brew Coffeehouse, which features a four-window drive thru and free WiFi, is located next to Bojangles' on McFarland Boulevard near the Highway 43 intersection.

This represents the second Strange Brew location in the Tuscaloosa metropolitan area, with the first opening on The Strip in early 2023. The Northport location marks the fifth Strange Brew location and the second for Alabama, with the other three locations in Starkville and Tupelo, Mississippi.

As part of the promotion for the new location, Strange Brew will hold a Seven Days of Brew Swag promotion, with free giveaways planned each day for its early-bird customers.

Strange Brew Coffeehouse is a local & independent coffeehouse first started in Starkville, Mississippi by owner Shane Reed.

Strange Brew specializes in lattes and original espresso drinks, including popular favorites like the Capt'n Crunch Latte, the Albino Squirrel and the Sea Turtle Frappe, to name a few.

Strange Brew will be open from 5:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. for the the first two weeks before shifting to 5:30 a.m. until 11 p.m. seven days a week.
