Strong Chance Of Rain For Tonight's West Alabama Christmas Parade
There is a high chance for rain as PARA is set to hosts its 46th annual West Alabama Christmas Parade Monday night in downtown Tuscaloosa.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority (PARA) is set to hosts its 46th annual West Alabama Christmas Parade Monday night in downtown Tuscaloosa.

The 2022 parade theme is “A Retro Christmas" and the community can visit PARA's website for more information.

There will be a tree lighting on the steps of the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse beginning at 5:15 p.m. and the parade will start at 6:30 p.m. in downtown Tuscaloosa.
According to the National Weather Service forecast office in Birmingham, there will be an increasing chance for raining in the early evening hours — over 70% after 7 p.m.

PARA spokeswoman Becky Booker told Patch that as of 9:15 a.m. Monday morning, the parade was still set to go on as planned.
