Suspect Charged After Fatal Shooting At Tuscaloosa Gas Station

Captain Marty Sellers of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit told local media Tuesday morning that Tuscaloosa Police responded at approximately 11:30 p.m. to the initial call of a shooting at a gas station in the 3000 block of 20th Street.

Sellers said when officers arrived at the scene they found a man dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
He went on to say that witnesses were interviewed and evidence collected that ultimately led to the identification of the suspected shooter — Dennis Anderson, 41, of Tuscaloosa as the shooter.

Anderson has been charged with murder and is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail without bond.
Sellers explained that additional charges against Anderson and other individuals may be filed, before saying that community involvement was a factor in the successful identification of Anderson.
