Teen Pedestrian Dies From Injuries After Being Struck In Tuscaloosa County

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A 16-year-old pedestrian is dead after being struck by a pickup truck on Alabama Highway 69 Sunday evening.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said the crash happened around 6:40 p.m., roughly 12 miles south of Tuscaloosa.

Authorities said the teen — who has not been publicly identified by authorities at this time — was in the roadway when they were hit by a 2018 Ford F-150 driven by a man from Tuscaloosa.

ALEA said the juvenile was taken to a local hospital but later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the incident and no other details were made public.
