Sophomore shortstop Justin Lebron — fresh off of a 5-RBI Opening Day on Friday — used his first at bat to rope his third double in two games, which advanced Bryce Fowler to third and set up the Tide's first run of the game when Fowler scored on a wild pitch.

Garrett Staton then added two more with an RBI single to put the Tide out ahead 3-0 in the game's opening frame. He wasn't done, though, as the Samford transfer cleared the left field scoreboard with a grand slam in the bottom of the fourth to put Alabama out front 13-0 and just about seal the deal on the visiting Braves.

Staton finished 2-for-3 on the night, with 6 RBI.

Sophomore Coleman Mizell also hit a home run in the winning effort, going 2-for-4 with 2 RBI.

Trussville native Riley Quick, a hard-throwing sophomore right-hander, secured the win after getting the start on the mound for the Crimson Tide — tossing three scoreless innings, striking out four and surrendering only two hits.

Five total pitchers appeared for the Tide, including Tuscaloosa native Tate Robertson.

Robertson, a former standout at Northridge High School and Shelton State Community College, threw one and a third innings, giving up one run on one hit, while striking out one.

Other pitchers who saw action included Hagan Banks, Matthew Heiberger and Aeden Finateri.

The Crimson Tide (2-0, 0-0 SEC) will look to grab the sweep on Sunday at Sewell-Thomas Stadium, with the first pitch set for 1 p.m.
