TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama baseball right-hander Bobby Alcock on Monday was named the Southeastern Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week.

The award marks the first weekly honor of Alcock’s career and the second for the Crimson Tide this season after the pitcher from Lynn, Massachusetts, got the win in a dominant performance over Texas A&M on Sunday.

In the win, Alcock struck out a career-high eight batters while allowing just four hits and two walks over seven scoreless innings — also marking the longest outing for a Crimson Tide pitcher this season.
Alabama (20-1, 3-0 SEC) will return to action on Tuesday when South Alabama visits Sewell-Thomas Stadium. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
