Tide's Jalen Milroe Named Semifinalist For Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe has been named one of 16 semifinalists for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tyler Chamber of Commerce and SPORTyler on Wednesday announced that Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe has been named one of 16 semifinalists for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award.

The award is named after running back Earl Campbell and honors the top offensive player in Division I football who meets these criteria, while also demonstrating resilience in overcoming adversity or injury.

Finalists for the 2024 honor will be announced on Dec. 17, with the winner revealed on Jan. 22.

Milroe, a native of Katy, Texas, has logged 2,396 passing yards, completing 171 of 263 attempts, while adding 615 rushing yards on 135 carries this season.

The redshirt junior also leads the Southeastern Conference with 32 total touchdowns (15 passing, 17 rushing), accounting for 194 points. Both marks rank eighth, nationally.

The Crimson Tide has never had a winner of the Campbell Tyler Rose Award, which was established in 2013.
