Tide's Mark Sears Named First Team All-SEC

The Muscle Shoals native becomes the fourth UA player in the last five years to be selected for the first team under head coach Nate Oats.

Sears has also earned back-to-back All-SEC selections after earning Second Team All-SEC honors last season.
A finalist for the Bob Cousy Award, Sears was one of four SEC players to be named to the ballot and ranks No. 2 in the SEC in scoring with 21.1 points per game.

During the 2023-2024 campaign, Sears has scored 20 or more points in 21 games, which is the most by a Crimson Tide player since Reggie King's school-record 23 games in 1978-79.
What's more, Sears is also one of two players in Division I and the only Power 5 player this year who has 650 points, 125 assists, 120 rebounds and 75 three-pointers.
