Tide's Sarah Ashlee Barker Earns First Team All-SEC Honors
Alabama graduate guard Sarah Ashlee Barker has been named a First Team All-Southeastern Conference postseason award winner.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama graduate guard Sarah Ashlee Barker has been named a First Team All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) postseason award winner for the second consecutive year.

Barker, who helped lead the Crimson Tide to a 23-7 overall record and a 10-6 mark in SEC play, has averaged 17.3 points per game this season, leading the team in scoring.

After returning from injury on Jan. 26, she has averaged 19.8 points per game.
This season saw Barker log a career-high 36 points scored against Vanderbilt on Jan. 26, followed by two games where she tied her career-high with eight assists — one against Georgia on Feb. 2 and another at Mississippi State on Feb. 9.

Barker also managed back-to-back double-doubles during road games at Florida and Mississippi State, registering 18 points and 10 rebounds against the Gators, and 19 points and 12 rebounds against the Bulldogs.
Barker is the fifth player in school history to surpass 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 250 assists, with her accolades including being named to the Naismith Trophy Player of the Year Midseason Team, as well as appearing on the Ann Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year Award and National Player of the Year Watch List.
