Tornado Warning For Northern Tuscaloosa County Until 4:45 P.M.

UPDATE: The all-clear has been given for northwest Tuscaloosa County for this specific warning.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The National Weather Service Forecast Office in Birmingham has issued a Tornado Warning for a northern swath of Tuscaloosa County until 4:45 p.m. Thursday.

This includes the Samantha community and the area around Northside High School near Highway 171. The warning area does not include the City of Tuscaloosa or the University of Alabama campus. However, other severe systems could prompt additional warnings in the coming hours.

Residents of Northport are also asked to have their severe weather plan in place, although the city itself is not included in the warning.

Those in the direct path of this storm are asked to seek shelter immediately.
