The watch area includes the following counties: Fayette, Marion, Tuscaloosa, Greene, Pickens, Walker, Lamar, Sumter and Winston. The watch also includes the cities of Northport and Tuscaloosa, in addition to the University of Alabama campus.

Meteorologists say severe storms are possible later in the afternoon through the overnight hours, bringing the potential for damaging winds, isolated tornadoes, and large hail.
