Suspect In Custody After Standoff At Creekwood Village

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department says a suspect is in custody after barricading themselves in an apartment at Creekwood Village.

TPD confirms that officers were attempting to serve a search warrant at Creekwood Village apartments when suspect refused to come out around 5:06 p.m.

TPD spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor said the SWAT unit responded at 5:35 p.m., with the suspect taken into custody just after 6 p.m.

No other details have been made public at this time.
