Tuscaloosa Accepting Resumes For Industrial Development Authority
The City of Tuscaloosa on Tuesday announced it is accepting resumes for the Industrial Development Authority (IDA).

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa on Tuesday announced it is accepting resumes for the Industrial Development Authority (IDA).

Members of the IDA are tasked with supporting industrial and commercial development by acquiring and improving property, issuing tax-exempt bonds and partnering with businesses and local governments to attract new industry and expand existing operations.

Prospective candidates will be reviewed and appointed by the City Council.
The city said candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Must be a resident of the City of Tuscaloosa
• Must demonstrate community involvement and a record of civic responsibility
• Must be willing to attend meetings regularly and actively participate in the responsibilities of the position
• Individuals with backgrounds in economic development, business, finance, law planning or public service are preferred but not required.
