Tuscaloosa City Schools Offering Free Meals This Summer

Tuscaloosa City Schools will offer free meals this summer to children 18 and under.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa City Schools will offer free meals this summer to children 18 and under.

Made possible by a federally-funded program, no registration or ID will be required and the meals will be offered from May 28 through June 27.

TCS says participating schools will serve breakfast from 7:45 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday.

TCS said meal sites will include The Alberta School of Performing Arts, University Place, Central High, Bryant High, Martin Luther King Jr., and Southview elementary schools.

Tuscaloosa Magnet Schools will also open as a meal site from June 2 through June 27.

All sites will be closed on June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.
