Tuscaloosa County EMA To Offer Free Weather Radios For Veterans
The 2nd annual veterans weather radio giveaway will be set for Monday, Nov. 6 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. in Liberty Park at the Tuscaloosa VA.

TUSCALOOSA, AL —As a way to show gratitude to those who have served their country ahead of Veterans Day, Tuscaloosa County EMA announced this week that it will once again offer free programmed weather radios for Tuscaloosa County veterans.

The second annual veterans weather radio giveaway will be set for Monday, Nov. 6 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. in Liberty Park at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center, which is located at 3701 Loop Road.

The effort is made possible through a partnership with the University of Alabama's Office of Veteran and Military Affairs, along with the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center.
Those wishing to receive a weather radio will be asked to show a veteran ID card, in addition to a driver's license showing a Tuscaloosa County Address.

Radios will be given on a first-come, first-served basis, with the giveaway limited to one weather radio per household.
