Tuscaloosa County Man Dies After Weekend Motorcycle Crash

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A 23-year-old Tuscaloosa County man has died from injuries he suffered in a motorcycle crash over the weekend.

TPD said on Tuesday that Curtis Waylon Duco was driving a motorcycle when it collided with a Toyota Corolla around 7:54 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Crescent Ridge Road and Sixth Street East.

TPD spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor also said the vehicles caught fire after the collision.

She then said a Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s deputy who was on patrol in the area stopped and rendered aid to those involved.

Duco was taken from the scene to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where he died from his injuries on Monday.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
