The new mobile app from Tuscaloosa County Park.& Recreation is now available for free.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority (PARA) on Monday announced the launch of a brand-new mobile app that is now available for download.

Available for free in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, the app allows users to explore new features designed to promote active lifestyles, while informing and connecting the community.

The app provides the following features:
- View current classes, events, and programs.
- View schedules and sign up for sports and activities
- Registration for sports leagues and fitness classes.
- Registration for after-school programs and camps.
- Purchase memberships to join the PARA or renew your membership online.
- Gain access to PARA facilities quickly and easily.
- Push Notifications to stay updated with real-time alerts for facility closings, cancellations, and other important information.
- Direct contact so users can reach out through the app with any questions or concerns.
PARA also says it is working on new features for future updates, including further online registrations and bookings to provide expanded options for signing up for classes, reserving facilities and more.

What's more, PARA hopes to incorporate interactive maps and guides, along with features to allow users to sync fitness devices and apps with the PARA app.
