Tuscaloosa Man Charged After One Injured In Shooting At Northport Apartments

NORTHPORT, AL — A Tuscaloosa man is in custody after a man was shot in the early morning hours Thursday at West Circle Apartments in Northport.

Captain Marty Sellers of the Tuscaloosa County Violent Crimes Unit told local media Thursday afternoon that Northport Police first responded around midnight to a report of a 42-year-old man who had been shot.

Sellers said the injuries weren't believed to be life-threatening.
He went on to say that the victim and the suspect, 45-year-old Robert Hollie had an ongoing issue that resulted in a physical altercation, during which Hollie allegedly pulled a handgun and shot the victim.

Hollie was later located in Tuscaloosa and charged with first-degree assault.
His bond has not been set at this time and Sellers said no other individuals were injured during the fight.
