TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Tuscaloosa man was killed Saturday in a single-vehicle crash a few miles east of the city limits.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says the fatal crash occurred on Keenes Mill Road at approximately 11 p.m. Saturday, when the 2018 Ford F150 driven by 22-year-old Marcos Morales, left the roadway, struck an embankment, hit a tree and then caught fire.

ALEA said Marcos was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred near Hurricane Road, approximately six miles east of Tuscaloosa.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
